Meet Trent ‘Maxi’ Maxwell: Bondi Rescue star, author, firefighter and an all-round good bloke.

Maxi made history as the youngest-ever professional lifeguard to work at Bondi Beach, starting out when he was just 16 years old. He starred in the popular TV series Bondi Rescue for 12 seasons and has been a professional lifeguard for over 17 years.

In 2016, Maxi continued his life-saving heroics when he joined New South Wales Fire + Rescue as a firefighter. Two years later, he earned the title of Qualified Rescue Operator as part of the Heavy Rescue team at the City of Sydney Fire Station.

He’s since released his own children’s book series ‘Maxi The Lifeguard’, which he co-authored with David Lawrence. The books are packed with valuable life lessons and water safety measures to educate kids through entertaining stories. Maxi says: “my true passion in life is teaching kids life-saving water safety skills”.
